Pulama ‘Aina: Kahalu’u Gallery & Garden Nate Yuen Fundraiser Event

Sep 29, 2024

In honor of Nate Yuen’s legacy and to support the organizations that Nate actively volunteered in that help to protect and nurture Hawai’i’s natural environment, Joel Yuen (Nate’s brother) is sponsoring an exhibit of Nate’s artwork at the Kahalu’u Gallery and Gardens as a fundraiser. This fundraiser event is called Pulama ‘Aina, meaning to “cherish our land.”

HTMC member Pat Rooney created a virtual tour of the Gallery and Gardens, for a sneak peak CLICK HERE!

Nate’s inspiring photography from the last three years will be printed on metal and canvas along with matted prints and cards of his older work will be on sale. Nate’s images celebrate the beauty and wonder of Hawai’i’s natural beauty, from sweeping panoramas, to enlarged images of endemic flora and fauna; including the lehua ohia, hau blossoms and the kahuli that he dearly loved.

In order to promote more awareness of the organizations and our collective vision to appreciate the beauty of our ‘Aina and our duty to cherish and protect it, a few organizations that Nate was involved with, including HTMC have been invited to partake in this event and will receive funds in the form of a donation from the sale of his artwork at this event.

HTMC will have an information table set up to introduce our club to event attendees. We are looking for HTMC Members to volunteer to be at this event for 3 hour shifts. If you are interested/available CLICK HERE to sign up for a shift. Please help us spread the word about this event and a big mahalo in advance for your help with this event!
