Please Follow the Rules and Respect the Hike Coordinator

There have been several incidents on our hikes recently in which HTMC members have not cooperated fully with the hike coordinator. To give just two examples, some hikers  have failed to turn around at the set time; others have allowed or encouraged non-members to participate in our members-only hikes. To protect all of us, please follow the rules and respect our hike coordinators. And rather than just ask for your cooperation, the club has clarified the standing rules and the possible consequences of unacceptable behaviour:

Hikers must follow the instructions of the hike coordinator and must not allow or encourage others to violate those instructions. Any member who fails to comply with the hike coordinator’s instructions will be subject to suspension from all club activities.
