Friends of Haiku Stairs Initiative: The Stairs Stories

Friends of Haiku Stairs are also starting a new initiative called Stairs Stories to highlight the many ways the Haiku Stairs have touched people’s lives. Perhaps you have a story you’d like to share, or know someone else who might? We’re trying to collect as many different stories as we can to show how the Stairs have inspired those “chicken skin” moments and human connections. We will feature some of these stories on our website, social media, and use them for advocacy and in future media coverage.  We would love to include your story, so please consider sharing!*

*We’d prefer to capture you telling your story on video (contact Lauren and she can arrange a video shoot). However, print submissions are also welcome. We ask that the story focus on lawful access to the Stairs, or at least not involve a demonstrable instance of obvious trespassing, which would undermine our broader efforts.
