HTMC moves to online balloting for changes to its Bylaws

In a recent experimental online ballot on the introduction of online balloting for Bylaw changes, 93.7% of those who cast a vote were in favour. The Board was very happy both with the result and the level of participation.

However, at the October 18, 2017 Board meeting, it was agreed that we needed to follow exactly the provisions in Article X of the old Bylaws to be able change them, and the Board therefore called a Special Meeting on November 4, 2017 at 5:00 to discuss and vote on the same proposal.

The motion, which was amended to include a provision for an online discussion forum, passed by more than than the required  66.67% majority, and the Bylaws have therefore been updated accordingly.
