Evelia Pineda Torres

Some of our members will no doubt remember seeing Evelia on our hikes, leading the charge with the fast group. However, since her discovery of yoga and her subsequent teaching at the Silent Dance Center over the past twenty years, she hasn’t hiked as much, and very rarely with HTMC. Evelia was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer in March 2015, and the disease has spread to other parts of her body. She is currently in Queens Hospital.
