Manoa Cliff Native Forest Restoration Project

Sep 16, 2023

Edo Biagioni is involved with the Manoa Cliff forest restoration project and will share information about this project. The goal of the project is to restore the native forest through removing invasive and planting native plants. The project includes a six acre section of fenced in land located on Tantalus along the Manoa Cliff Trail between its junctions with the Pu’u ‘Ohi’a and Pauoa Flats Trails.

If you are interested in volunteering to help with this restoration project they meet Sunday’s at 9am at Kalawahine trailhead; contact manoacliffnatives@gmail.com for more information or visit their webpage

Edoardo Biagioni (For english-speakers, a good approximation to the pronunciation of Edo’s last name, Biagioni, is “be-a-joe-knee”.
Many people call me “Edo”. This is pronounced in the same way as the Edo period in Japan, and rhymes with the name of the Texas city of Laredo) first joined HTMC in 2000, and became a life member in 2001. He loves to hike both in Hawaii and elsewhere — a couple of Kalalau (Napali coast) hikes with HTMC folks are very memorable. In recent years on most Sundays he goes to the Manoa Cliff native forest restoration project, so he only attend HTMC hikes a few times a year. Edo is very familiar with and very happy to hike most of the Tantalus trails, and from time to time also likes to hike on different trails. If you’d like to know more about Edo, visit his webpage.
