AED Training Session
Join us at the HTMC Clubhouse to learn about how to operate our recently purchased AED (automated external defibrillator) device (more details on the session below). If you can attend, please RSVP a week prior to help the instructor plan accordingly. Mahalo!
Why should individuals attend: Cardiac arrest is a significant cause of premature death among young athletes. Oahu experiences over 1,500 cardiac arrests annually, with a concerning 75% occurring at home. However, initiating chest compressions and attaching an AED immediately upon collapse significantly increases the likelihood of survival to over 80%. Come learn the simple steps of CPR and how to use our new AED.
This session will be taught by Pam Foster, RN who started the company – AED Institute of America.

*Michael Tanenbaum will be performing. He is a composer/guitarist of contemplative instrumental music in the style of “Celtic Slack Key”. He creates visual guitar tapestries inspired by film music, Celtic melodies and the power of the land, light and ocean waters of the Hawaiian islands.
