Pu’u Keahi a Kahoe (literally, “Kahoe’s fire”) is the mist-shrouded peak at the back of Moanalua Valley. Magnificent views and rare native plants along the summit and middle ridge are the reward for
doing this wild “wow” hike.
Directions
Continue on foot through Moanalua Valley Park, along a dirt/gravel road in back of the parking lot and around a locked gate. Travel approximately three miles into the valley accomplishing numerous stream crossings until you reach the end of the road. Bear left onto a trail (a short distance to the right is a vehicle turnaround area).
