Mt. Olympus

5.6 miles / Ridge / Intermediate

Overview

Mt. Olympus is the massive peak on the Ko’olau summit between Manoa and Palolo valleys. One of the easiest and fastest routes to the Ko’olau summit, the popular Mt. Olympus Trail gradually ascends Wa’ahila Ridge above St. Louis Heights rewarding the hiker with terrific views of windward Oahu, Manoa Valley, Ka’au Crater and Diamond Head in the distance.

Directions

Proceed on foot to the back of the parking lot. Travel mauka (toward the mountain) on a paved path which becomes a wide dirt trail. Hike the trail all the way to the Ko’olau summit remembering to continue straight at a junction (the Kolowalu Trail on the left descends to Manoa Valley).
