This is a double loop adventure. From the park, hike up a rocky trail to lower Kuli’ou’ou ridge and head mauka to begin a loop to the boy scout shelter and backthrough a serene ironwood forest. Return to the lower ridge for another scenic loop before returning down the same rocky trail to the park.
