OSAR Race to Rescue – October 31st!

Oahu Search And Rescue (OSAR) will be holding its annual 5K fundraising run on Halloween, Saturday October 31st at 8:30am. Embrace the holiday spirit and run the race in a costume!

The Race for Rescue is OSAR’s biggest fundraising event of the year. By running this race, you help to support OSAR in providing needed hiking safety education, as well as search and rescue services to the community! This year, like in the past, we will be offering an in person 5K option, as well as a Virtual 5K option. The entry fee is $35 plus registration fees.

The in person 5K run (or walk… that’s totally ok too!) will be held on the scenic slopes of Kaiwi Mauka in Maunalua. The race starts and finishes at the Hawaii Kai Golf Course.  An aid station with water and snacks will be located mid course. Prizes will be awarded in various categories, including best costume!
