HTMC New Member Post

We would like to welcome our new members to the club with a warm aloha! In an effort to get to know our new members a little better, the board introduced an initiative for new members have the opportunity to share a bit about themselves and be featured in a newsletter article. Tell us something about your background?

I was a Hawaii schoolteacher for 37 years.

What made you want to join HTMC?

I like the member only hikes.

What month/year did you join HTMC?

I was an htmc member for 20 years in the 1980’s and a hike leader for 7 years.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

I started surfing in 1964.

What’s been your favorite hike you’ve ever been on (either with the club or on your own!)? In Hawaii or elsewhere?

Learning new Hawaiian native plants
