Newest HTMC Members Introductions

We would like to welcome our new members to the club with a warm aloha! In an effort to get to know our new members a little better, the board introduced an initiative for new members have the opportunity to share a bit about themselves and be featured in a newsletter article. Aidan (an HTMC membership officer) welcomes our new members with a request to fill out a questionnaire. Mahalo to the following new members for their contributions, you can read more about them below.

Tell us something about your background?

Spent most of my adult yrs in NY/Philadelphia/Boston before giving up “city life” in favor of the welcoming spirit of the islands.

What made you want to join HTMC?

Exploring new (to me) O’ahu hikes while enjoying the camaraderie of the group experience.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

Visit Maui 1x/yr to climb Haleakala on my bicycle

What are you most excited about since joining HTMC?

Meeting new people.

Lived in Hawaii for 10 years; Work for Hawaiian Airlines in Finance; Originally from Colorado Springs

What made you want to join HTMC?

Access to secret hikes

Completed a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Poland in 2018

What are you most excited about since joining HTMC?

Trying new hikes that I haven’t done before

Tell us something about your background?

Married for 44 years, 2 children, 7 grandchildren. Owned bakeries for most of our married life.

What made you want to join HTMC?

I had to retire my horse and I love being outdoors, my neighbor invited me to hike with her and I enjoyed being with a club
