100 Years in Waimanalo with Blaise Smith
Screenshot In honor of HTMC celebrating the 100th anniversary of the purchase of its Waimanalo property, we are pleased to share a special recorded presentation created by Blaise Smith, Chair of the Books and Records Committee.
Over the course of many months, Blaise conducted extensive research through HTMC’s archives as well as collections across the state, carefully piecing together the story of this important chapter in the club’s history. Her presentation brings that history to life through a rich collection of historical photographs, personal anecdotes from past members, and detailed insights into the purchase of the Waimanalo lots in 1925 and 1941, along with the building of the Clubhouse by dedicated members in 1926.
Blaise’s original presentation was given at the clubhouse on October 25, 2025, in celebration of the centennial of the property purchase. She later revisited and expanded upon her work, creating this updated recorded version.
We hope you enjoy this thoughtful and deeply researched look back at HTMC’s legacy.
