‘Aiea Bisectional

3 miles / Novice / Ridge / Aiea

This rarely used woodsy ramble connects the upper and lower sections of the ‘Aiea Loop Trail.  The trail is generally easy, with not too much up & down, but caution should be used as on any hike.

A $5 donation is requested for each non-member, age 18 or over.

Moku & Ahupua’a: ‘Ewa & ‘Aiea

Hawaiian Name Meaning: ‘Aiea is named after the critically endangered ‘Aiea tree (Nothocestrum latifolium).

Historic Information: The ‘Aiea Loop is a 4-feet wide Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) trail dating back to 1935. The much narrower Bisectional cuts the loop in half following a woodsy ridge down to the ‘Aiea stream.
