We start at Waimea Valley Park (Park fee required) and ascend Elehaha Valley to the Cattle Chute, which leads us by a gentle grade up Keanaloa Ridge to Pupukea. Then hike down Drum Road to a little-known short cut trail back to Elehaha and the cars. Expect mosquitoes. Coordinator Peter Kempf, ph 384-2221 or 735-2220.
