This route to the Ko`olau Summit follows an undulating ridge trail behind Tripler Hospital (thus the name), and returns the same way. The upper portion tends to be muddy, and has narrow sections, so watch your footing. The breezy lunch spot perches atop the sheer cliff overlooking Ho`omaluhia Park.
