Spend the long weekend at a secluded campsite nestled below the Wai’anae summit. Laze around camp or take a strenuous hike around the rim of Makua Valley on the layover day. Bring warm clothing, good raingear, and a serious sleeping bag, as the weather is often unpredictable during the winter.
