‘Ahuimanu
(2 Mi/Novice/Valley/Kahalu’u)
This trail is a great intro to hiking in Hawai’i. It is an easy walk through a diverse forest with some archeological sites. At the goal, we see one of the rock dikes which hold our water supply until we need it. This dike has a hole which provides a perpetual stream. Meeting Info: In Ahuimanu, turn mauka off Kahekili Hwy and meet on the mauka side of the intersection of Hui Iwa and Hul Kelu.
